Les Danseurs - What's The Buzz?

New Year's Eve Follow Up

New Year's Eve was a big hit.

Thanks to everyone who joined us for a memorable New Year's Eve celebration.  The "Bayou River Band" was a smash hit with the guests that evening.  They played tons of dance classics, with excellent musical renditions, great tempos, and perfect volume levels.  The 5-piece band brought out at least 12 different instruments to create a variety of sounds from big band to latin.  Discussion has already begun about bringing them back for future dances.

Many thanks to Mary Zaleta for leading us in an energetic Charlston lesson.  Also, thanks to the Tomlians for coordinating the traditional "Grand March" just before midnight.  Much fun was had by all.  Pictures will start showing up on this site soon.

New Years Eve Dance 2009

Register NOW for the bash of the year!

Our New Years Eve dance will be one to remember.  We'll take you back to a shining spot in history where cares seemed few and "Blue Skies" was the theme of the decade.

Ballroom dancers will enjoy this band, they are professionals who have been playing for decades.  The Bayou River Band has it's name because they play for the Detroit and Lansing  Princess Cruises on the river.  They know all styles, and will have no problem playing Les Danseurs' traditional ballroom variety.

We also have a fun little extra for those who have the energy.  During the first band break, we are pleased to have Mary Zaleta give us a short lesson in Charleston!

Space is limited, but we still have some room.  This is our most popular dance of the season so don't delay. You do not need to be a member of the Les Danseurs to attend, all dancers are welcome!

Thanks to everyone who came out to our 50's dance.  What a great crowd and a great time!.  I've never seen such a finale to a Les Danseurs dance before, how exciting!  The Sea Cruisers really delivered.

We hope you also enjoyed the 3 dance demos during the band breaks, and the rootbeer floats.  Thanks Karen and Amira for serving up some frothy sweetness.

Pictures are posted in our photo gallery.  If you see yourself and don't want to be on our website, please let us know and we'll remove the pic.  We aim to please.
